I'm dipping my toes into really giving the GOP a chance. I don't believe anything that has been in the news on either side, and it is thanks to Trump that I've let myself remove that reality from my projection of the world. As long as there are good jobs and my family is happy, and I'm not hearing about people getting disappeared around me, and I'm not disappeared myself, then I'll assume things are fine. The news on both sides is horse poo. Trump really does seem like a likable man, and he is very capable of getting results, so I'm actually excited to see how MAGA effects my life and my son's life. I'm mad at the GOP for using religion as they did to display some horrible behavior to me and children everywhere, but I can't really claim that they were any worse than the main stream media. I understand why we need Trump, and why now is the time for him to come.
With that said, I can say that I do believe in God. I've never denied the Holy Spirit (nor should anybody who feels "spiritual" If you have to put what they're feeling into Christian terms, its the Holy Spirit. If they're sinning in the process, I don't think that matters because God is everywhere, so why wouldn't he be right there with you while you sin? Hmm? We know the Son is, and we know the Father is. Why would the Holy Spirit not be? I know what a lot of scholars would say, but I feel like God will have me understand it as I'm meant to understand it. My reality isn't yours, and God teaches us all in different ways. I learned this from Buddhists who say the same about the Buddha, but all of the old religions were misunderstandings about the true nature of God. I believe this, because the were feeling His Spirit, and they were not sinning (assuming they adhered to their religions), so they were feeling the Spirit, but they weren't praising the Father or the Son), which is why Jesus came in the first place. Religions all over the world were just like this, unless we are to believe that God only ever cared about people from a handful of nations. Indigenous people in the Americas had religions rooted in the same principles that Jesus taught, which obviously had to be from Him, right? But I digress. Anyway, I've never had a negative word to say about the Son, I've never denied the Holy Spirit, and I've back talked the Father, as one does, but He is forgives, as one does. That comfort of knowing He is always there is nice. I couldn't begin to understand the true nature of things until I had a child in a traditional marriage. I'm the primary bread-winner, my wife cooks and cleans, our son goes to school. We're a nuclear Christian family, which is exactly who will do the best under Trump, I'm presuming. The Democrats didn't even try to oppose him with a real candidate, so they fail again, just as they fail to pass any legislation with the teeth to really cook in the real world. Everything they've done has been half-assed. Maybe the infrastructure bill will end up making more back in payroll taxes than it cost, otherwise we just borrowed money on credit to create the illusion of an economy. I don't see how that's any better than Trump's tariffs.
I might come back and update this as my politics evolve. Maybe I'm a Libertarian now. Maybe the individual states will be able to foster better communities than the federation. We'll see! Anyway, I was wrong about Trump. He was a good President, and he will be good for America.
I pray for forgiveness regularly. I don't understand why Trump doesn't, but by all accounts, he is in touch with the Spirit, so I'm trusting him to be the man we need. Something had to change, and I don't think what Harris was offering was realistic without weakening our attractiveness to businesses or compromising our security. Trump represents a major shift. The revolution happened. Its over with only 9 shots fired. We should all be grateful for that. America could be a mess like all of the other nations undergoing a revolution, but our government is smart and effective.
